Getting to Know Your International Contacts-Part 3

This agency sends out e-mail and resources around the world. They send out resources and e-mail to get help them to provide millions of children nutrition's food, life-saving healthcare, protection from abuse and the chance to go to school. I had no idea that girls are being discrimination against for their rights. I never thought that girls have the most violence, poverty, and marginalization in the world. UNESCO's talked about the girl rights violated by early marriages and not giving a change in growing up as a child. Too many are being lacking in opportunity and remains a lifelong sentence to inequity and injustice. There are thirty- two million girls are not attending school. USNECO is committed to ensuring every girl has access to quality education. They are making sure that girls stay in school. To ensure that girl is adapted with ministries of education to trans-policy maker, planes, mangers and teachers. Strive to provide young women and girls with second chances if they never enrolled or dropped out of school. these goals guiding UNESCO's Global Partnership, for girls and Women's Education, launched in 2011 and working closely with the private sector.

Getting to know your International Contact-Part 2

Zero to Three- Dr. Jerlean Daniel is the executive director of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and was the director of a center for 18. Dr. Daniel shared some insights and information that caught my eyes and my understanding. She talked about the qualifications of a good child day provider working with young children and families. Dr Daniel stated how parents and child care providers can work together to affect the welfare of children. One of the questions was asked was what’s the meaning of a quality child care center? Dr. Daniel,” There is nothing too small or large to talk about the well fare of a child, even if the two parties feel a little uncomfortable with it.” The most valuable tool there is the relationship between the child care provider and the parent.  A parent who is curious and anxious about who is caring for their child’s while they are apart from each other. Dr. Daniel also explained that it is essential for parents to ask questions and keep an eye out on her child’s well fare. It is extremely important to respect each other opinions and ideas. Dr. Daniel talked about that most parents think of child care providers as, a baby sitters. Child care providers does not get nearly the amount of wages they deserve, and the parent’s feel comfortable when they drop their child off and realized they can trust the child care givers.

Dr. Daniel also mentioned that if the parent does not feel comfortable in leaving the child with the caregivers it is time to go. It is extremely important to look for a child care program that workers are talkative and communicate easily.  The most insight I got out of Zero to Three podcast was when Dr. Daniel Stated,” Look for the small matters and situations because they can develop into large ones.” This is so true and important for me as a professional in the field of early childhood education.

Describe in particular the additional information about issues of equity and excellence you acquired from your international sources

If you walk into a classroom and the child care providers have just one toy on the selves. This produces a problem between the children while at play. Because the children will   fuse over who had the toy.  When there is a lack in equipment the situation can cause a problem between the students. Children need something to do, and it is essential for there  is an equal amount of toys on the self. There should be similar toys to keep down confusion between the children while, they are interaction. Research has studied that 20% of the family cannot afford child care service because of the economy.  When the parent cannot afford child care it makes it hard for them to go to war because there is no day care.  Another experience the child has to go from place to place because the same relative cannot keep the child. The parents need to ask questions about the child’s care givers. How long the child provider has been working with children and because the child’s needs to be attached to his/her care givers?   It is not good for the child to be moved from room to room and different care givers. Parents need to be able to visit the child at any giving time. Every child is treated with the highest of respect whether the child has a disability, a delay, or specific needs. Care givers need suppose to write a child off or never give up on children.
